# Affiliate disclosure

> How StatementBench earns money from affiliate links, how those links are labeled, the rules that keep commissions away from results, and the current list of relationships.

## The short version

Some links on StatementBench may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the vendor pays StatementBench a commission, at no extra cost to you. Every such link is labeled **"(paid link)"** right beside it, and any page with one says so at the top, before the first link.

## Current relationships

This list is generated from the same partner registry the site uses to build its links, so it always matches what the pages do.

| Vendor | Relationship | Network |
|---|---|---|

| DocuClipper | None: links are plain, unpaid links | |

| Docparser | None: links are plain, unpaid links | |

| FreshBooks | None: links are plain, unpaid links | |

| Zoho Books | None: links are plain, unpaid links | |

| QuickBooks Online | None: links are plain, unpaid links | |

| PandaDoc | None: links are plain, unpaid links | |

## Rules

1. **Labels sit beside the link.** Every paid link carries a visible "(paid link)" label next to it and is marked `rel="sponsored"` for search engines. "Affiliate link" in a footer is not enough, and the site doesn't rely on it.
2. **Commissions don't decide results.** Benchmarks follow the published [methodology](/methodology/), and the same scoring code runs on every tool whether or not it pays a commission. A vendor that pays a commission can still finish last, and the result will say so.
3. **No paid placement.** Vendors cannot pay to be included, ranked, reviewed or left out.
4. **Recommendations come with their conditions.** Where a page says a paid tool is worth it, it also says when it isn't, and the free alternative is on the same page.
5. **No fake reviews.** StatementBench doesn't publish testimonials or reviews from anyone other than its author, and never uses AI-generated ones.
6. **Free tools stay free.** The converters and calculators on this site don't require an account or a purchase, and they never upload your files.

These rules follow the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides and the FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465).
